What your website costs for Stephen
This page is mainly for you. It’s only linked from the bottom of the site, and Google won’t list it.
What you’ve got now
We checked your current website on 25 September 2026. Here’s what it runs on, in plain English.

Your web address
acejackspokerleague
.co.uk is registered with GoDaddy. It was set up in January 2022 and was renewed in January 2026. It’s paid until 27 January 2027. Somebody paid for that renewal. -
Check
Where the site lives
The site sits on servers run by a company called 20i. Web designers often rent space from 20i and charge their clients for it. If the lady who built your site is paying for this, the site goes offline the day she stops.
-
Check
Email
Your address is set up to receive email through 20i too. If you use an email ending @acejackspokerleague
.co.uk , we need to know before we move anything, so none of it gets lost. -
Check
A paid add-on: Elementor Pro
The site is built with a page-builder called Elementor Pro. It has a yearly licence. It’s fully up to date, which usually means someone is paying for it.
-
Risk
Out-of-date engine
The site runs on PHP 7.4. That stopped getting security fixes in November 2022. WordPress itself says to use version 8.3 or newer. It works, but it’s an unlocked back door that gets more dangerous every year.
-
OK
The padlock (https)
Free, from Let’s Encrypt, and renewing on its own. Nothing to pay.
What it’s probably costing
You told James you don’t pay anything for the site. It isn’t free to run, so these bills are going somewhere. Our best estimate:
| What | Per year |
|---|---|
| Web address (GoDaddy renewal)GoDaddy’s .co.uk renewal price | about £13 |
| Hosting on 20i20i’s own cheapest plan is £10 a month. Designers who resell it usually charge £5 to £30 a month. | £60 to £360 |
| Elementor Pro licence$59 to $84 a year for one site, billed in dollars | £45 to £65 |
| EmailComes with the hosting | included |
| Roughly | £120 to £440 |
These are estimates. The exact numbers depend on who is paying and what deal they’re on. That’s the first thing to find out.
What the new one costs
The new site runs on Cloudflare, one of the biggest networks on the internet. Its free plan is allowed for businesses and easily covers a league your size, including Amy’s system.
| What | Per year |
|---|---|
| Web address, moved to CloudflareIn your name, on your card. Sold at cost price, so it doesn’t creep up. | about £5 |
| Hosting the siteCloudflare free plan | £0 |
| Amy’s results and players databaseCloudflare free plan: far more than a weekly league needs | £0 |
| Form and notification emailsResend free plan: 3,000 a month | £0 |
| Page-builder licencesNot needed. The site is built properly, not with a page-builder. | £0 |
| Outside bills | about £5 |
How we worked that out
These are the systems we use for all our sites, because they’re reliable and cheap to run. Here’s what your league would use each month, against what each one gives away free.
| What | Your league | Free limit |
|---|---|---|
| People opening pages181 players checking the table a few times a week, plus new faces. We’ve allowed for twice that. | ~50,000a month | 3,000,000a month |
| Results Amy saves6 games a week, about 35 players a game, plus corrections | ~1,000a month | 100,000a day |
| All 16 seasons of resultsEvery game since 2022, kept forever | ~10 MB | 5,000 MB |
| Winner photosAbout 70 a season, all 16 seasons | ~250 MB | 10,000 MB |
| Emails sentContact form, plus any results alerts | ~100a month | 3,000a month |
Even at ten times the size you are now, you’d stay inside every free limit. If the league ever did outgrow them, the next step up is Cloudflare’s paid plan at about £4 a month, and we’d cover that inside what you already pay us. You’d never get a surprise bill.
If you use an email address on the domain, a free Zoho Mail mailbox covers it. If you’d rather have Gmail, Google’s is £5.90 a month plus VAT.
